Been coming here for years. Love the place, always find something interesting or wanted. Very affordable and friendly staff. Only issue is the building is very old and could use some serious repairs. It gives character, but when a train goes by at high speeds the building shakes. Feels somewhat unsafe, but I love this place.
Crazy big. Definitely a mixed bag of stuff as there are hundreds of booths inside but there is bound to be something that interests you. Christopher Columbus Museum and Chicago World's Fair museums are kinda afterthoughts, but nice for those who aren't into antiquing. They are worth the dollar donation.
Very disappointing. One of my purchases was not priced. The Sales clerk said I couldn’t buy it. My friend was buying one that was slightly smaller and there was another one slightly larger. I suggested they split the difference. Our sales person very rudely told said I couldn’t buy it. She blatantly rolled her eyes thru the whole situation and said it wasn’t up to her. My friend also had an item that wasn’t priced and she was given a price and allowed to purchase. I suggested they post a sign if this is the policy. She did not take that well so i’m passing that comment along now since I don’t expect her to do it. Her behavior was rude and lacking customer service.
Three levels of treasures..... We were there for four hours and did not even finish the first floor! That is looking at each isle, nook and case. So many unique items and most priced within reason. Not much else to say!
Visited here for the first time and was impressed but the amount of things packed into that store. I was very under whelmed by the "museum" portion of the place, which now seems like a joke. But the staff was very helpful and nice and the place is very well organized.
